my p64 speed: read ~ 180 mB , write ~ 40 mB . It bad . Good write only in first cash128 mB of p64 . But other test on internet are optimistic.
Your hair kinda reminds me of Nathan Drake (from the Uncharted games) :-D
@pandarello he is doing this for a living though ;p
1978 D:
seriously?
if you only use it to put your OS on it would it wear down?
don’t ssd have 10,000 read/writes before they die? so does downloading a 500mb file on a ssd count as one write or more then one?
A lot of people have been saying that the performance on SSD drives diminishes as it is used, and that in order to get back to 100% performance, you have to do a complete full reformat. Apparently, this is due to the firmware, as they all share the same basic firmware version currently.
I think I’m going to wait it out until the technology matures a bit more. A Raid 0 Raptor set-up should suffice.
No, i have been using them now for a week and they are working superbly. I been playing Warcraft and Fallout 3 everyday and have no complaints so far.
That said once Vista 64bit bloated..err i mean patched the space left on the raid array left me thinking i should of got larger drives.
He has gone over this many times he only requests items he thinks are good. He doesn’t go around requesting items he knows are terrible just to laugh at. Aus dieser Richtung he has a grading scale kick ass is common because it means the products good 100% kick ass is the best and there are some low ratings like good which means crap. he doesnt want to piss off the people he is reviewing at the same time he wants to give an honest review so he uses words like good instead of terrible it just makes things easier
have you noticed any stuttering? I am thinking a bout picking one of these up off of newegg and cant seem to determine which SSD’s had the stuttering problems.
Just got two of these 64gig SSD Corsair drives today that showed up from Newegg, i am going to set them up in Raid0 later today and install Vista 64bit on them plus a game or two.
Ill post the results and any pros or cons i come across, these are my first SSD drives after using Raptors the last few years.
Intel X25-M 80gig drive was my first choice but where a tad out of the price range of what i wanted to spend and i figured two of these in raid0 would out perform a single X25-M.
One thing I have always wondered about Rodney. He calls those reviews. All they seem to be to me is him telling you about a product then saying it kicks ass. Now that’s OK but it smells a bit puppety to me, as if he was being paid. Gee, I wonder if that’s it. I’ve never EVER heard him put down a single product, however, some of the things he has ‘reviewed’ I have owned and they were just crap.
You seem to have forgotten her “extended warranty” Crabs. Enjoy!
You didn’t see the benchmarks AFTER he showed the system he tested it on? I’ll give you a clue to help you out, it starts at 2:14.
Theres plenty of websites for it know.
